One small step for Cherrywood and Whitevale, one giant leap for urban Pickering that is still blissfully unaware that the worst of the Big Stink will end up in urban Ward 1. Luckily Mayor Ryan lives in Ward 1 too. You can bet your sweet bippy he doesn't want any part of York Region's cesspool greeting him at his front door on sunny mornings.

Too bad he didn't think of that while he was so hot to trot to develop the Ag Preserve, then Seaton.

But again, the Big Stink is not the issue. The 300 million tons or so of lethal air pollution that will follow the Big Stink is a more important concern. That friends and neighbours will chemically injure every single one of you. No exceptions. Many will die.

It's a sad thing when a soldier in the middle east is killed. But the death is usually swift and considering the line of work; not unforeseen. Death by air pollution is generally a lingering, expensive and even more tragic death because those who will die will be your children or someone else's children that you know.

This is the reason why I've been fighting the Seaton Land Exchange since 2004 with no income full time. For you and your children. I have no children of my own, so I have no genetic stake in the future. You likely do. The Big Stink is only one small part of a development scheme that, when looked at from a downwind resident point of view can only be regarded as a chemical assault on Pickering. You have a choice - do nothing and be a victim or help fight the crimes associated with the Seaton Land Exchange.
